This bizarre image was captured on video and went viral after a famous meme account shared it. The alleged lover was caught running shirtless and without trousers.
A family conflict that would have remained private before the advent of social media became public within hours. A man was caught rushing towards his partner’s lover through the streets of Córdoba, and the footage is so unusual that it piqued users’ curiosity.
While not much is known about the people involved or the exact location, two things are clear. First, the fact that it happened in downtown La Docta is known because the profile responsible for sharing the footage is called “Sólo en Córdoba,” a meme and video page that posts hilarious happenings from this province.
Second, it’s evident that the image shows a man sprinting down the city’s main street, wearing only black underwear and matching socks, chased by an angry man. Additionally, from a few seconds of footage, it’s implied that the first man was caught in a steamy situation with the enraged Cordoban’s partner.
“Come on, get him!” you can faintly hear the second man shouting, asking a passerby for help in catching the “famous pata é Lana,” as the humorous caption reads.
Social media users didn’t miss the chance to poke fun at what they saw in the video. “Córdoba: the place where they talk about the motorcyclist’s foot, but never about the furry one”; “It’s tough running on these pavements in socks”; “That’s how my paycheck slips away,” were just a few of the comments.
However, many users speculated that it could be a promotional stunt for a store located on the corner of the city centre, perfectly captured by the camera of an onlooker: the mattress shop ‘El Deseo.’
This supposed—or ironic—coincidence sparked even more jokes: “This is a story of three, where there are two losers and one winner: the owner of the mattress shop ‘Deseo.’ The most fitting title for this ad would be ‘Has anyone seen how much they’re discounting blankets?’”; “Poor guy. He was just promoting the mattress shop on the corner, you cynics.”
